Hollywood fans are buzzing with excitement over the possibility of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt sharing the screen once again—this time with a surprising twist.
The two A-list stars, who last appeared together in 1994’s Interview with the Vampire, recently reunited on the red carpet at the London premiere of F1, Pitt’s new Formula One drama. Their warm embrace and shared memories—Cruise even recalled their late-night go-kart races during filming—ignited speculation that a reunion could be on the horizon.
Adding fuel to the fire is a suggestion from Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski. In interviews, he has floated the idea of a crossover that brings together Cruise’s Days of Thunder character, Cole Trickle, and Pitt’s APXGP driver from F1. “They could have been rivals,” Kosinski mused, playfully referencing their go-kart days.
Despite this mounting buzz, Brad Pitt has a clear condition before signing on to any collaboration: no extreme aerial stunts. Pitt told E! News that when it comes to working with Cruise again, it would need to be a grounded affair. “Well, I’m not gonna hang my a** off airplanes and s*** like that,” he joked. The sentiment is echoed by Kosinski and stunt coordinators who describe Cruise’s daredevil approach as thrilling—and terrifying—on set, emphasizing that Pitt’s preference is for safer, more controlled performances.

So while fans may dream of an electrifying reunion between these two icons, it appears any potential project will lean more toward grounded drama than high-altitude thrills.
Both actors are deeply immersed in major projects: Cruise is riding high with Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, while Pitt leads F1 toward box office success. But the chemistry, history, and directorial interest all point toward a reunion that’s not just possible—but eagerly anticipated—by audiences everywhere.
