Pakistan Army Successfully Conducts Training Launch of Fatah-4 Cruise Missile

The Pakistan Army has successfully carried out a training launch of the indigenously developed Fatah-4 cruise missile, marking another significant milestone in the country’s strategic defense capabilities. The launch, conducted from an undisclosed location, demonstrated the missile’s precision, reliability, and effectiveness, further strengthening Pakistan’s deterrence posture.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Fatah-4 is a state-of-the-art cruise missile equipped with advanced guidance and navigation systems. It is capable of carrying both conventional and strategic payloads with high accuracy over long ranges. The successful test highlights Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining credible minimum deterrence in the evolving regional security environment.

Senior military officials, scientists, and engineers from strategic organizations witnessed the launch. They expressed satisfaction over the system’s performance and the achievement of all mission objectives. The Fatah-4 has been designed with modern stealth features and terrain-hugging capabilities, enabling it to evade sophisticated air defense systems. Its integration into the country’s arsenal adds a formidable dimension to Pakistan’s defense strategy.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir congratulated the scientists, engineers, and the Pakistan Army on the successful launch. The national leadership reaffirmed their confidence in the armed forces’ ability to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Defense analysts believe the induction of the Fatah-4 cruise missile will enhance Pakistan’s second-strike capability, providing greater flexibility in operational planning. It also serves as a response to regional developments, particularly the modernization of missile defense systems by neighboring countries.

The successful training launch underscores Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining peace through strength, while ensuring that its defense preparedness remains robust and technologically advanced. With the addition of the Fatah-4 to its missile inventory, Pakistan continues to reinforce its resolve to deter aggression and preserve strategic stability in South Asia.
